With his tours constantly selling out, it’s no question that Jay Z is being reached for… again. This time, it’s — again — Chauncey Mahan. Hit the jump for more info!
According to TMZ:
The producer and engineer says in a new lawsuit that he was a key producer and creator of six Roc-A-Fella Records releases during his tenure with the company in the late 1990s and early 2000s and that he was instrumental in shaping the sound of some of the imprint’s best-selling releases, including Jay Z’s Vol. 3… The Life And Times Of S. Carter and The Dynasty Roc La Familia (2000- ), which were released in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
All in all, he’d like a judge to grant him co-ownership of copyright to the material.
