According to reports Octavia and friends were all at a community pool, when Octavia’s mother and friend Kisha Young picked the kids up. Sources say the children were told to sit on the roof of the car due to wet swimsuits and Kisha not wanting to get her interior wet. Authorities recently revealed that Octavia’s mother and Kisha Young had been drinking before they picked the kids up. Hence the not so smart rationale with having the kids ride on the roof of the car.
Incidentally the brief car ride resulted in Octavia being flung from the roof when the driver hit a sharp turn which led to Octavia suffering from multiple head injuries which led to her untimiely death after being on life support for a short period of time. While Octavia’s mother has no charges pressed against her yet, the driver Kisha Young was charged over Octavia’s death with intoxication assault — a third degree felony. She also faces charges of injury to a child and DWI with a child. She was released from jail on a $110,000 bond.
Octavia’s two other siblings have been taken away, as both women are currently under investigation by Child Protective Services.
