Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is facing a year long suspension for his latest violation of the substance-abuse policy. He reportedly is scheduled to have a hearing later this month to possibly reduce the suspension but after this latest arrest he can kiss that goodbye.
According to Matt Anderson of WKYC in Cleveland, Gordon was arrested in Raleigh, North Carolina last night for DWI (driving while impaired). Gordon was booked in Wake Co. N.C Detention Center at 4 a.m. He was processed and later released on bond.
Gordon has failed multiple drug tests going back to his college days at Baylor. He also missed the first two games of last season but when he finally got on the field he had one of the great seasons for a NFL receiver, with 87 catches, 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in just 14 games despite the Browns having a ton of injuries at quarterback.
Though Gordon is an immense talent, his unwillingness to turn his life around may mean the end of his NFL career.
