During a recent visit to Detroit, the controversial Pop legend Madonna was inspired by the efforts of Detroit’s Achievement Academy Charter School and Detroit’s Downtown Boxing Gym.

Madonna has decided to give back to two establishments bettering the city of Detroit. The pop star visited Detroit’s Achievement Academy Charter School and will donate “new equipment, art and music supplies including speakers, iPods, iPads and Smart Boards for each classroom.” After being informed that the school has a 100% high School graduation rate, Madonna took a visit to the Detroit’s Downtown Boxing Gym and has decided to give money to their establishment as well.
Madonna is dubbing her recent efforts as the ‘first phase of a long-term commitment’ towards helping her hometown.
