As Angela Basset recently casted super model/actress Yaya DaCosta to play the part of Whitney Houston in her Lifetime biopic, Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is not too happy with the fact that she was overlooked to play her late mother’s role. Basset simply stated that to fully carry out the vision and role of a legend one must be an actress, and Bobbi kristina is not an actress.

“No, I did not think about that. I did not think about casting her,” Basset stated to Entertainment Weekly about missing Bobbi Kristina as a candidate for the casting.
“And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft.”
“It’s an attempt to illuminate the complexities of human behavior and life. And this is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story. It’s more than just saying lines and turning the light on. You have to drive the story—there’s a technical aspect.”
Bobbi Kristina was not happy about Bassett’s comments and took to her twitter to rant saying that when she accomplishes ‘A Grammy or Oscar, whichever comes first’ asset will be taking her words back. And then proceeded to taunt the acting veteran by stating that ‘at least people don’t mistake (her) for the wrong sex’. he has deleted her tweets since then.
