The Houston Rockets are taking a big gamble in their quest to land a big free agent like Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James and it might come at the cost of Chandler Parsons.
According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Houston Rockets have declined the fourth year player option for Parsons and have made him a restricted free agent.
The option would have paid Parsons $960,000 which is a steal for a player with his skills. The move could come back to haunt the Rockets who can match any offer made.
Parsons averaged 16.6 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Rockets last season.
