In an attempt to revive his career, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson joined the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League. He played his first game on Friday in a preseason scrimmage.

Johnson, the receiver formerly known as Ochocinco, caught a 13-yard pass on the first play from scrimmage in Friday night’s preseason opener.
That was Johnson’s only catch of the game, as he and Alouettes quarterback Troy Smith (the former Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner and Ravens backup) failed to connect on a couple of other passes.
Before the game, Johnson described his anticipation in typical Chad Johnson fashion.
“It’s similar to the feeling before I lost my virginity. There’s a certain level of excitement . . . anticipation . . . not knowing what’s going to happen or what I’m going to get,” Johnson told the Montreal Gazette.
