After kicking off on Thursday (June 12) and into the weekend, the 2014 Bonnrroo Music And Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee was in full swing after an assorted group of artist took the stage from Thursday June 12th through Sunday June 15th. See videos and full recap of performers inside.
Thursday evening kicked off with Pusha T. Friday the 13th featured artists such Kanye, who hadn’t performed since a controversial set in 2008. West had a message for the Press during his set.
“I want y’all to know that anytime I’m in the studio, make a record, make a t-shirt, I give it everything I got,” he said. “And when I talk that shit, it’s so you can talk that shit. If you’re a fan of me, you’re a fan of your motherfuckin’ self. You can go out and do anything.”
“The same night, Ice Cube rattled off hits like “Natural Born Killers” and “It Was A Good Day” in an appearance that also included an extended Nate Dogg tribute according to Billboard.
Earlier in the day, De La Soul and Del The Funky Homosapien joined Damon Albarn for short performances of their previous collaborations of “Clint Eastwood” and “Feel Good Inc.” respectively.
Last night (June 14), Skrillex performed an hours long “Superjam” set that included rotating guest appearances from artists like Lauryn Hill, Mystikal, and A$AP Rocky. During Skrillex’s set, Janelle Monae also performed songs like James Brown’s “I Feel Good” while A$AP Ferg covered The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” alongside his own music. Lauryn Hill helped close out the set with tracks like “Lost Ones” and “Ready Or Not.”
Today, A$AP Ferg, Elton John, and Wiz Khalifa closed out the show.
