Looks like Oprah Winfrey has done it again. It appears that Auntie O is cooking up something, as she gathers former cast mates of beloved show, ‘A Different Word’ depicting the lives of upwardly mobile young blacks attending made up HBCU, Hillman College. “I ain’t one of the Cosby’s I ain’t go to Hillman”. Well luckily for Kanye and the rest of the world, Oprah is catching up with the cast 25 years later. The big question on everybody’s mind, will there be a reunion show? Find out inside.
In a recent episode of Where Are They Now, Oprah rounds everyone up with the exception of Jada Pinkett and Lisa Bonet to chop it up with the cast of the hit show, that was a spin-off of the popular Cosby Show, and had its own run for six seasons.
Necole Bitchie reports…
Debbie Allen, a Howard University alumni and executive producer of the show, has also been working hard to get A Different World back on TV:
“I have been trying with some very powerful people behind me [to reboot A Different World]. The difficulty is that it’s very convoluted when you’re mixing old writers and new writers. I just wanted to have the name so that I could get started again. Bill Cosby wanted to see this happen. Right now we’re kinda at a stand still. I got really far up that ladder, and then I got stopped. So we’re going to re-investigate it again because it’s such a good idea.”
Would you guys like to see a 2014 version of the former hit show?
