This is no joke! New Yorkers have been finding hidden $50 bills hidden across the city by a California real estate investor who announces where he drops the cash on Twitter. And this isn’t the first city to be discovering the hidden paper, cities in California have been finding the free money too! Find out where he’s been hiding the dough after the jump!
The Twitter account, @HiddenCash, has been dropping clues of where the mastermind, Jason Buzi, is hiding envelopes filled with $100 or $50 cash prizes.
Last week, Buzi left dozens of these envelopes in San Francisco and 36 Angry Bird Orbs filled with cash in Hermosa Beach, California. Now this week he hit New York, leaving envelopes with a $50 bill and a silver dollar inside all over Central Park and Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
It’s not all for fun and games, Buzi is trying to inspire change in people through his generosity. One envelope read, “Please take this gift and pay it forward. We can make a difference. PAY IT FORWARD. RETWEET.”
The Hidden Cash account asks Tweeters to Tweet pictures of themselves with the money to keep track if all the money was found. Check out some of their posts in the gallery above!
According to his latest Tweet, Buzi is hitting Chicago tomorrow for his next city.
