A new campaign called “Get Schooled Challenge” urges to build and encourage attendance rates at schools in Detroit. The new campaign brought Big Sean in to help improve the attendance rates. Bates Academy won the challenge to have Big Sean as principal. Many of the kids at Bates Academy have perfect attendance.
Big Sean says his grandmother grew up around the corner from Bates Academy. “It’s just cool to come back man, and just see the kids so excited and it all be for a good cause,” said Big Sean.
