A brand new surveillance camera at a Canadian manufacturing company caught Al and Betty Perry’s pick-up truck burst into flames after being struck by one powerful ass lightning bolt on Saturday afternoon. Good news though, the owner’s of the truck survived and are doing well. Check out the video of the lightning strike after the jump!
The strike caused 6 of the vehicles air bags to implode, completely melted parts of the truck, fried it’s electrical system and caused two massive craters on the highway. As the car filled with smoke and all attempts to escape the vehicle became futile, Al Perry feared that he and his wife were done for calling the torched vehicle a “coffin”, especially considering his wife Betty had just recently recovered from a stroke.
Luckily though a near by RCMP witnessed the strike and was quick to go to the Perry’s rescue, allowing them to celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary happy and healthy just a few days later.
