“Unhappy” fans have taken over the net the #NotHappy hashtag, expressing their outrage for Pharrell’s latest magazine cover. Twitter users have expressed their disappointment in the creative visionary use of a “sacred cultural fashion item into a prop”, as one twitter user put it. After the back lash Pharrell and his reps have made a short statement, expressing Pharrell’s apologies;
“I respect and honor every kind of race, background and culture,” Pharrell says. “I am genuinely sorry.”
