Award winning rapper Nas has teamed up with Seattle based company, Koru, to launch a new college scholarship fund. The focus is to help students transition into the workforce with financial support.
According to the New York Times Nas has invested $100,000 into the company and intends to work directly with the first set of students chosen. The scholarship will cover 10 students’ tuition for the first year. According to Karen Civil.com the founder Kristen Hamilton believes the Queens-bred rapper is a good pair for her students. Well they say there is no better feeling than giving back.
