Eminem is doing more than just preparing for his tour with Rihanna, recently he raised 17 thou and dollars for a Detroit charity in one day! The money was raised for HOPE, a charity that helps senior citizens and their families with providing food and basic services. HOPE also helps revitalize Detroit neighborhoods and provide educational programs. Read more after the jump.
The rapper’s eBay auction had raised $17,353 for Focus: HOPE by 11 a.m. Wednesday from 606 bids that appeared to be from around the world.
Items fans are able to bid on until about 7 p.m. Thursday include ticket packages to the Eminem/Rihanna Monster Tour shows in Detroit at Comerica Park and limited edition Casio G-Shock watches. Eminem, who grew up in Warren and Detroit, has shown plenty of generosity over the years for charitable causes in the area.
