Well, that’s just rude. A North Carolina emergency dispatcher was overheard trash talking Oprah during Maya Angelou’s 911 call. Doesn’t seem like the time or place to be spreading your ignorance guy. Find out exactly what he had to say about Oprah, Maya Angelou’s good friend, after the jump.
John Ruckh, who has been been a dispatcher in Winston-Salem North Carolina for 24 years, is now suspended for being heard in the background of Dr. Maya Angelou’s 911 call saying Oprah has fallen from grace after she did an interview where he says that she stated, “There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.”
Ruckh claims to have not used any racial slurs in the conversation and his only defense was this:
“Unfortunately I work in a high-profile job and everything’s recorded.”
Well, unfortunatley you don’t know how to decipher when and where is an appropriate time to disrespect a dear friend of a beloved dying woman.
