There’s reportedly a rocky relationship between Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls front office. That along with him being one of the best coaches in the league has several teams knocking on his door but there’s reportedly only one that could get him to bolt.
via Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report:
“There’s only one place that Thibodeau would really push to go elsewhere, and that’s to go back to the New York Knicks,” Bucher said. “That, I’m told by one source, is actually his dream job, to go back and get the Knicks back on the map. But short of that, he realizes that no matter where he goes, the grass isn’t always greener.”
Thibodeau has a reputation for pushing his players and getting the most out of them. That’s definitely something the Knicks need but it seems unlikely to happen. Knicks president of basketball operations Phil Jackson has been looking into candidates that he has a prior relationship with. It’s gotten to the point where some of the names mentioned are quite laughable. I guess we’ll have to keep an eye on the situation.
