The Philadelphia 76ers were in full on tank mode last season as they tried to land the No. 1 pick in the perceived loaded upcoming NBA draft.  They traded Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes in exchange for rookies and future draft picks.  One of the acquisitions from those trades was Nerlens Noel, the sixth overall draft pick in the 2013 draft, selected by the Pelicans and traded to the Sixers as part of the deal for Holiday.  It was known that Noel wouldn’t be able to play for some time after suffering an ACL injury but the Sixers kept him out for his entire rookie season as they continued to tank.

“I’ve been 100 percent for months now,” Noel told the Boston Globe. “I feel great and continue to get stronger in all parts of my body, just continuing my growth really. I will be playing in summer games and summer league.”

The Sixers finished with the second worst record in the NBA and were awarded with 3rd overall draft pick for the 2014 draft and retained the No. 10 pick via their trade with the Pelicans.

Well lets see if their rebuilding plans work out.
