Well it looks like we have happy Kanye back. According to some sources that have heard the sound of his new album, they say it is less “dark and depressing” and more “soul” . Kanye is always switching things up so you never know what you might hear. Hit the jump to find out more details about his upcoming album.
The first, most striking bit of news came from an anonymous source who said that he or she had heard six of the album’s twelve tracks (as of two weeks ago), and was quoted saying that it’s “mostly a mixture of soul samples and tamed ‘Yeezus’-esque darkness… nothing abrasive.” Another clue to the album’s sound came from GOOD Music producer Evian Christ, who said earlier this year that West requested “something that sounds a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep.”
Well there you have it, but we will never know exactly how the album sound until it’s released or leaked which ever comes first.
