John Mayer has released a warm, stripped-down version of Beyoncé’s XO.
His acoustic version features Mayer gently strumming an acoustic guitar accompanied a by piano and a harmonica in the background.
He originally performed a live version of the cover during a show in Adelaide, Australia last month.
Mayer tweeted his admiration of Beyoncé and “XO” three days prior tweeting: “The best thing about Beyoncé? The break in her voice on the first ‘baby, love me lights out’ in XO. Real and raw.”
