Miami native Pitbull, has filed a suit against the E. & J. Winery And New Amsterdam Spirits, after the liquor began promoting a recipe titled ‘The Pit Bull’. Pitbull endorsing his own brand of Vodka ‘Voli’, is not standing for any imitation!
Pitbull has taken on liquor companies’ alleging their ‘Pit bull’ recipe consisting of ‘2 parts New Amsterdam vodka, 1/2 part lime juice, 1/2 part grapefruit juice, 2 parts lemon/lime soda’, is a recipe set for disaster. ‘Voli Vodka’ have endorsed the latin sensation, Pitbull as their sponsor, going as far as creating their own recipe that comes very close to the New Amsterdam version of ‘The Pitbull’ (hence the problem).
Pitbull is looking to sue the New Amsterdam liquor company, for all/any profits made off of his name. In addition to the removal of the name ‘Pit Bull’ off of their website, as he has trademarked the name since 2000.
