Sad news to report about Atlanta Falcons star Roddy White. Tyrone Moore Jr., White’s half brother was shot and killed outside a James Island club on Saturday.
According to detectives an altercation occurred in front of the club then shots rang out and Moore was struck. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The detectives are following up on several leads but currently do not have any suspects.
The two brothers were very close, raised by their mother Joenethia White. Moore also lived with Roddy in Atlanta for several years.
Falcons owner Arthur Blank released a statement expressing his sympathy.
“We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances,” said the release. “On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.”
