The young and gifted visionary artist Young Lenox has taken his talents to the West Coast. The 7 year old artist, has debuted his portraits of classic Hip Hop albums, in a solo art show, on the West Coast. It all started when his father inspired him to switch his focus from drawing super heroes, to drawing Rap stars… And Who better to begin with than, Gucci Mane!
Young Lenox has been having his art on display since the age of 5, breaking the ice, with his homemade drawings, displayed during Frieze N.Y Art Week. He has drawn the likes of classic albums and Hip Hop veterans such as A Tribe Called Quest’s Low End Theory, 2 Live Crew’s As Nasty As They Wanna Be, The Notorious B.I.G, Cam’ron, Juvenile, Gucci Mane and more.
His first art gallery on the West Coast has kicked off today and will run till the 11th, located at Los Angeles 1988 West, sponsored by LRG, ‘L.A.’s Most Wanted’. The Gallery is set to display 30 pieces straight from the young artists stash, who spends just a half hour a week creating his master pieces.
