It just gets worse for Aaron Hernandez. While we still seem to be quite a ways away from his murder trial beginning for his alleged involvement in the murder of Odin Lloyd, Hernandez is racking up other charges and jail time as well. The District Attorney announced the former NFL star was indicted yesterday for assaulting another inmate as well as threatening the life of a corrections officer. Even if he somehow is to wind up beating the murder case down the road, these charges alone will keep him in prison for a while. Hit the jump.

Back in February, a scuffle allegedly occurred when an inmate was being transported from the jail’s infirmary. The man, identified as Andrew Booker, and Hernandez allegedly exchanged words. Hernandez allegedly punched Booker and knocked him to the ground. Booker was actually in handcuffs during the attack and had no real way to hit back or defend himself. Funny thing, Booker wound up getting word to TMZ that Hernandez “hits like a bitch”.
Then back in November of 2013, Hernandez reportedly threatened to have a guard killed at the Bristol county jail for putting his scheme to an end to get extra food with his meals. At the time it was said Hernandez was getting skinny and was looking for ways to keep his weight up as much as possible so he would eat food and then make up stories about bugs being in the food and things related to that in order to get more servings. When the guard caught wind of that and put it to an end his life was threatened.
In the meantime all this has happened while he still waits in jail with no bail for his murder trial to eventually get underway.
