The popular hip-hop festival, Paid Dues has fallen on hard times – so hard that the 2014 event has been cancelled. Murs, the Strange Music artist and founder of the event released a statement in connection with the news. Check it out after the jump.
Pretty much, money is the issue. Via FaceBook, Murs states that the 2013 Paid Dues event caused, “financially challenging” times for his partners over at Guerilla Union.
Murs makes it clear that the lack of the show this year is not a time to rest. He’ll be working hard to make sure that 2015 will be a bigger and better Paid Dues than the ones prior.
