This year’s NBA playoffs has definitely been one for the books and it’s just the first round! Teams like the Hawks, Grizzlies and Wizards have not only shocked their opponents but the fans as well. The Mavericks might be the most shocking of all as they now lead the San Antonio Spurs 2-1 in the series thanks to this amazing shot by Vince Carter.
With 1.7 seconds left and the Mavericks down by two, Carter caught the inbounds pass, hit Manu Ginobli with the pump-fake and knocked down the buzzer beating corner three.
The Spurs aren’t just the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, they also had the best regular season record and the only team to win more than 60 games at 62-20. These two teams have a quite a long history against each other and after losing 10 straight to the Spurs, Dallas has now won two in a row in the series.
