Damian Lillard isn’t alone in this sentiment. As news spread about Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments, there was a wide spread belief that Sterling is one of many.

“The thing is (Sterling) is probably not the only one that feels that way,” said Lillard, who learned of the story on Twitter. “I wasn’t even aware of who (Sterling) was by name.
“I think because (racism) goes so far back in our history, that maybe people might think that it doesn’t exist. But there might be some people still out there that feel that way.”
Lillard is right, racism is far from over and though we’ve made significant strides there’s still a long way to go. Some people even believe Sterling isn’t the only owner in sports with racist thoughts and feelings. If there are others they’ve hidden themselves well. As for Sterling we’ll have to wait for commissioner Adam Silver’s move.
