A while back, we reported that The Wu-Tang Clan would be releasing an album consisting of 31 previously recorded tracks. A midst rumors of a $5,000,000 bid, Wu-disiples have teamed together to fund the project on their own. Their goal is to raise $5,000,001 in order to buy the album, and eventually give it away for free to all involved. Hit the jump for more info.
According to the website, their goal is to prevent the risk of someone buying the album and locking it away forever. According to various reports, before the album is sold, there will be an exclusive listening party where fans can pay up to $40 to listen to the album on headphones.
The risk is some Museum will own it forever and the music will never be heard.
