The 31-year-old actor released a statement Friday confirming his exit from the hit ABC drama, which comes amid charges he put a knife to his wife’s throat and threatened to kill her.
Tanee McCall filed for a restraining order against her husband after the April 7 domestic disturbuance in which Short is also accused of choking her while accusing her of sleeping with other men, TMZ first reported.
That’s crazy, hope they can work their relationship issues out. It sucks to have personal problems mess up your career.
That may have been too much drama for “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes.
“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today,” Short said in the statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
