Not-so-smart move by two police officers in Brooklyn.31-year veteran, Detective Jay Poggi and his partner, a 12-year veteran on the force apparently signed out of their command in East New York, heading toward another investigation regarding a robbery. However, before they arrived to the scene, they veered off and decided to get drinks at a restaurant. What happens next comes straight out of a movie. Check it out after the jump.
Somehow, the two officers found their way in Queens where it all played out. Around 1:50am today, Poggi’s partner was shot in the wrist. Both men were drunk, and immediately after finding out that his partner was hit, Poggi drove his partner to Jamaica Hospital, but get this, they were both drunk. So far, Poggi was charged with DWI. In the meantime, Internal Affairs if investigating the shooting.
