A Florida man by the name of Cody Wygant, admitted to killing his son but the reason why is quite disturbing and hard to believe!
Cody suffocated his son because he was crying while he was playing his Xbox. YES! He killed his son because he was interrupting him as he played his game. Wow who knew a video game was worth taking your own child’s life.
His son, Daymeon, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Steven Rivers Regional Medical Center. He is now charged with 3rd degree murder and willful child neglect. If this story wasn’t crazy enough, what he told the police was very sickening.
According to the arrest report, Cody covered his son’s mouth and nose for about 3 to 4 minutes to stop him from crying because the noise was bothering him as he played his Xbox game. He then put the child in his playpen and throw several blankets on top of him which prevented Daymeon from being able to breathe. He went back to playing his game for a hour and a half, watched 3 episodes of Fridge and then he decided to call the police.
After Cody admitted to his wrongdoing, the cops immediately arrested him. Sheriff Jeff Dawsy released this statment:
“It is inconceivable that a father could kill his infant son — it just baffles the mind. Our only sense of relief now comes from knowing that we did exactly what we needed to do to bring justice to him swiftly. Our prayers go out to those who knew and loved Daymeon.”
The mother of Daymeon is no where to be found and it has been revealed that she and Cody have a 3 month old daughter as well, but she has been placed in the Florida Department of Children and Families. Wow all I can say is wow! A precious life taken so soon. R.I.P.
