A party in Hillside, NJ led to someone getting shot last night at an off campus party. According to CBS News a partygoer was kicked out the party and he threatened to “shoot this place up”. A few minutes later, a man came back with a handgun and shot towards the front porch injuring a Kean student. Watch the full report below.
HILLSIDE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) – A New Jersey college student was shot and wounded when a man who had been thrown out of an off-campus house party returned to the residence and opened fire.The man then stated that he had a gun in his car and he “will shoot the place up,” according to witnesses.
He returned minutes later with a handgun and fired multiple shots at the house while partygoers were standing on the porch and the front lawn.
Other party-goers including members of the Kean University Football team then stepped in and chased the man out of the house, according to the University. The suspect then entered into a 4 door vehicle and fled the scene.
Shortly thereafter witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots outside of the home.
