Common and Kanye West
Not forgetting where they came from, G.O.O.D Music’s Kanye and Common are using their love for their hometown Chicago for better of the people by focusing on making it a better place for the youth. The two decided to collaborate to come up with a way they knew best would help the kids.

A report from January 2014 showed that a stunning 92% of young black males were unemployed in the city.

Common was reported saying,
“Obviously, one of the biggest reasons our kids are going through what they’re going through is because of poverty. I was doing an event in the neighborhood and there were some kids from Englewood and I said, ‘Man, what do y’all really need? What’s gonna stop this?’ And they were like, ‘We need money. Man, if we could work.’ They want a chance.”

For that, Common’s Common Ground Foundation and Kanye’s Donda House charity are collaborating with Rhymefest and his wife to create an annual Music Festival which will create 1000 jobs alone just this summer with the intention of it creating more every year after.

Giving back to their hometown and it’s people.
