New Jersey’s very own, Chelsea Handler was rumored to be David Letterman’s successor on CBS’ Late Night show. However, that thought was short-lived as Stephen Colbert was later announced as the next host. But now, according to Handler, she was in a meeting with CBS. Since the late-night show slot has been filled, what’s next? Craig Ferguson’s The Late Late Show? Find out after the jump.
According to a statement released by CBS to Vulture:
“There are no discussions with Chelsea Handler regarding the network’s 12:30 late night broadcast. Her meeting with CBS yesterday was a general meeting with our syndication [division.]”
Since she parted ways with E!, where she hosted the popular “Chelsea, Lately” she’s been in various conversations with many different networks looking for new work. Aside from late-night shows, Handler also had her hand in network TV. On NBC she executive produced “Are You There, Chelsea?” but the show was cancelled after a single season. So far, only time (and Chelsea) will tell her next move on the small screen.
