A Florida resident is recovering after being attacked by bears in her garage!
More details after the jump!
Sheriff deputies said the victim saw various sizes of bears, about 5 in total, going through the trash cans, looking for food as she walked in. The bears then dragged her from inside the garage into her driveway. She was left with many bumps, cuts and bruises all over her face and legs.
Luckily, she was able to escape and ran into the house where her husband called 911 officials said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
This incident took place the very same day Florida wildlife officials warned people that black bears and cubs are on the move in search for food now that winter is over. The head of the wildlife commission, Dave Telesco, said “Now is the time to expect bears to show up looking for food and if they can’t find food in your neighborhood, they’ll move on”. Oh no, if you have to go through all that for some bears, I don’t need to live there.
