After hitting his second home run of the season in the 10th inning to clinch a 5-4 win for the Phillies, Rollins fired back to a fan who had been heckling him prior to his at-bat.
“I politely told him to shut the f**k up,” Rollins said. As to what prompted the outburst, Rollins said the fan didn’t cross the line, but just made a “dumb comment.”
“Some fan in the stands was popping off,” Rollins said. “I don’t know where he was, but it was right behind the dugout and was close enough to yell, and it [ticked] me off.”
