My, how the tables have turned – over in this case. The “racism scandal” with Paula Deen seemed to have been dying down, but she’s added fuel to the fire in this case. After the general manager of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House sued the crafter of 14 cookbooks for using the, “N-word” and treating some staff like slaves, it’s clear that Deen couldn’t stand the heat, so she got on out of the kitchen as the restaurant is now closed.

If you thought a text message break-up was bad, imagine how the workers of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House felt when they realized they couldn’t get the standard two weeks notification for finding another job. As the workers went into the job this morning, they found the sign removed and police on the scene to escort them to get their things off the premises. Deen actually posted a Facebook status saying, “Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba’s is now closed.” DAMN!

What we’ve heard is that the restaurant failed with the health inspector miserably, which is the cause of the closing, but you still could have done better with your employees! DAMN!
