An earthquake shook Los Angeles and its surrounding areas causing major shock and damage to home and business owners. After rocking Disneyland in Anaheim, park officials decided to shut the park down until the numerous aftershock quakes ended. See the official statement released by the park after the jump.
According to a report by Deadline:
Disneyland shut down its rides after the main quake, which was followed by a series of about a half-dozen aftershocks ranging in magnitude from 2.6 to 3.6. This is standard protocol for the Disneyland Anaheim theme park, which is less than 10 miles from La Habra, the epicenter of the main temblor. Disneyland typically cycles through its attraction after a quake hits then inspects them after parkgoers have disembarked. The rides indeed were shut down for a while but most were operational or coming back online by 10:10 PM.
