Steven Fields went on a 10 day shopping spree after $31,000 was deposited in his First Citizen bank account. The money was someone else’s. According to authorities, the bank accidentally deposited the money by error. Steven Fields did not repay the entire amount he spent that was put into his account.
He withdrawn $20,000 in cash and $5,000 was spent using his ATM card. Much of the money was spent at a car dealership and fast-food restaurants. When Steven Fields went back into the bank to make another withdraw is when the bank caught onto him. The bank discovered their mistake when the real owner of the money who has the same last name “Fields” was wondering where his money went. Steven Fields said that the money was given to him as an “inheritance from his grandmother’s estate” but that turned out to be false. He is now being charged with a felony of theft.
Sounds like someone’s in trouble!
