A popular singer was once offered chicken dinners as a payment to perform. Find out who below!
Gospel singer Erica Campbell of the group Mary Mary, was offered chicken dinners as payment for performing. The singer voices her thoughts on how hard it is to sell tickets to shows and people who are unwilling to pay her for performing. She says some people think gospel music should be free since she is singing for Jesus. Campbell says, “They want to pay you with a chicken dinner and I go, yeah, I didn’t work for chicken dinners when I was just singing at my church…I don’t judge people because they don’t know, I’m just very willing to educate them on what it takes and what is required.”
