After two albums with the label, Kelly Rowland has parted ways with Universal Republic, and is beginning work on her fifth solo project. “It’s been wonderful so far, a fresh new spin on everything, with writers, producers, just being inspired, just creativity,” the newly-engaged Kelly said of the project in a recent interview.
“I feel like right now, I just needed something new and I’ve earned the right to make my own choices and make my own decisions,” Kelly added about the split from the label. Though she doesn’t know exactly what her next move will be, she is happy to be in the studio on her own, “recording, having fun, and being creatively free.” Wonder where she’ll end up next!
