The often injured Steve Nash made it clear that he is not retiring from the NBA because he wants all the money due from his three-year, $27.9 million contract from the Lakers as part of his sign-and-trade from the Phoenix Suns in 2012. Well with his divorce and child support issues it’s no secret why Nash wants the big bucks to keep coming in and he’s invested in his new dream home for when it’s all over.
According to TMZ Sports Nash dropped $4.8 million on a mansion in Manhattan Beach, California. The initial price was $5 million but Nash got them to knock it down by paying for the whole thing in cash. Wise idea if you have it like that; the last thing you want is mortgage payments when that money stops rolling in.
The home is a 4,175 square foot gem just 2 blocks from the sand. The only problem is it isn’t very aesthetically pleasing but Nash has plans to knock the whole thing down and build his dream house.
