Earlier in the week, news broke that a Crimea vote had forced President Obama to freeze assets, and ban a list of Russian officials from entering the U.S. That list included Vladislav Surkov, former First Deputy of the Chief of the Russian Presidential Administration.
Vladislav has since spoken to Russian media about being honored at the fact that he’s not wanted on U.S. soil. WHY? There’s only three things in the United States that can hold his interest – Tupac Shakur being one. Hit the jump for more.
Tweet #ME [JaaiR (JR)], and tell #ME that this guy doesn’t look like Mr. Bean!
OKAY! Tupac was, and remains an icon, but who knew that he was reaching the Russians.
Surkov says “I don’t have accounts abroad. The only things that interest me in the U.S. are Tupac Shakur, Allen Ginsberg [Beat Generation poet known for his “Howl” poem] , and Jackson Pollock [Painter],” Surkov told a Russian newspaper. “I don’t need a visa to access their work. I lose nothing.”
Only thing I can say is, he’s done his history on many movements.
