It’ll take a lot of things to get the New York Knicks back on track but is the Zen Master one of those things? Well we might be able to find out real soon. While Phil Jackson is adamant about not returning to coaching, sources say he’s strongly considering taking a job in the Knicks front office.
via New York Post:
Get your zen on! According to a league source, Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson is on the verge of accepting a Knicks front-office position. “It’s real close,” the league source said. Jackson has never held a front-office job, but lack of experience may not be an issue for the Zen Master. According to an ESPN.com report, the position’s title could be president of basketball operations. But a league source said, despite the fancy moniker, Jackson wouldn’t be usurping the current power of new president/general manager Steve Mills.
Honestly it would be a great move to add Jackson to the team but until someone has power over Steve Mills (really James Dolan), the Knicks will continue to have the same issues.
