I’m sure having a job is the least of Darren Sharper’s worries right now but to add to his list of troubles, the NFL Network has officially fired him.
via ProFootballTalk:
Amid troubling allegations of the serial drugging and raping of multiple women in multiple states, NFL Network has taken decisive action against former NFL safety Darren Sharper.
An NFL spokesman tells the New York Daily News that the league-owned media outlet has fired Sharper.
Sharper’s firing was of course expected especially considering the nature of his charges and the code of conduct the NFL tries to abide by.
Sharper is still innocent until proven guilty but as the charges and victim list continue to mount his chances of going free decline. He’s currently being held in an LA jail and is set to be transferred to New Orleans who have also secured an arrest warrant and where he faces a possible life sentence if convicted.
