The NBA’s entertainment series was presented by Sean John at Macy’s and Kendrick Lamar was the Saturday night headliner.
Introduced by Nick Cannon as Grammy nominated with the title of “hottest MC in the game”, Lamar hit the stage in a black hoodie and the Yeezy 2 “Red Octobers” which seemed to catch everyone’s attention more than anything.
Kendrick performed a medley of his hit tracks from “good kid, m.A.A.d city” including “mAAd City” and “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe”. He smiled through the performance as he was accompanied by a live band and the noise of the crowd which included fellow artists Diddy, Drake, Nelly and Ludacris.
In turns out Kendrick Lamar wasn’t the only performer last night. Vanilla Ice also did a surprise performance of “Ice Ice Baby” with a crew of backup dancers in front of a confused crowd.
