The Nigerian capital experienced chaos today after anti gay mobs including officials, allegedly dragged men suspected of being gay out of their houses, and beat them.
14 men in total were beaten and are in hiding, four of the fourteen, report that they were attacked by Nigerian officials. Many are afraid that the violent acts will be justified by Nigeria’s Same Sex (Prohibition) Act.
