Did Johnny football just talk himself out of being the #1 pick in the NFL draft? Or is he just being confident? The Houston Texans have the first pick, and since Manziel played his college ball in the same state, he really, really wants to play quarterback in Houston. I am not sure though, that telling a team they will regret it if they don’t pick you is such a good idea. You gotta love this kid though. Hit the jump to see what he said.

Manziel said that if the Texans don’t draft him and a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him, “It would be the worst decision they’ve ever made. I’d be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito.”
I want them to say absolutely, without a doubt, with 100 percent certainty, that I’m who they want.
I want everybody from the janitor at Reliant Stadium to the front office executive assistant all the way up to owner Bob McNair to say, ‘This kid is 100 percent, can’t miss. This is who we want being the face of our program. We want the Texas kid staying in Texas and leading the Texans.’
Nothing wrong with wanting a team to believe in you, but as a professional I think Johnny is gonna learn you can’t word yourself in such a way. But God forbid the Texans don’t pick him and in a few years he winds up a great qb like Russell Wilson he will be the one with the last laugh. Most draft boards do not necessarily have him being taken #1 overall, but definitely in the top 5.
