Like any celebrity that gains notoriety on an international level, Macklemore’s past has started to surface, more than what the rather-candid rapper has already revealed via his music over the years. As we know now through many of the Seattle native’s songs, he struggled with addiction in the past, but he also apparently had a bunch of traffic violations (ooh, so bad ass.) Back in 2008, Mack was pulled over in his dad Bill’s silver Prius and ended up with a required court date and a fine for driving on a suspended license. In the court documents was the kicker – they reveal his real age is a year older than what has been reported the whole time of his superstardom.

Macklemore was born on June 19, 1982, but up until now, his birth year has been publicly reported to be 1983. Could this have just been a repeated mistake by the media, or was he trying to appear a little younger with a “stage age?” I’m going to go with the former…because what difference does ONE year make?
