History has a way of repeating itself. That was proven recently in Miami when building developers stumbled across the foundation of a series of buildings believed to be created by the Tequesta Native American tribe. Archaeologists believe that the prehistoric village could date back as far as 2,000 years. Check out pics of the site after the jump.
The site was being check for developmental purposes. According to one source, “the city now faces a dilemma of what to do about a yet-to-be-approved development project, which was to include a hotel, movie theaters and a restaurant. The buildings were originally supposed to go right on top of the prehistoric site before anyone realized it was there.”
